Project description
Our main goal
The ATTAIN project aims to enhance accessibility in tourism through the development of tailored learning methods for people with disabilities. By updating VET curricula to meet the demands of the expanding accessible tourism market, the project aims to produce skilled workers capable of addressing the diverse needs of travelers with disabilities.
Our objectives
Ensure the quality and reliability of our initiatives through the implementation of a comprehensive Quality Assurance strategy. By establishing robust processes for monitoring and evaluating our progress, we aim to maintain high standards throughout the project duration. This objective underscores our commitment to delivering effective solutions and maximizing the impact of our efforts in enhancing accessible tourism.
Assessing existing skills gaps and developing tailored curricula to address the specific needs of our target groups. Firstly, we will conduct a thorough skills gaps study to identify areas for improvement in accessible tourism for social care/healthcare professionals and tourism operators. Subsequently, we will develop a MOOC and an App aimed at updating and enhancing the VET curricula in accessible tourism. We aim to equip professionals with the knowledge and skills necessary to provide better care and support to travelers with disabilities.
Testing, evaluating, and enhancing the impact of our tools and methodologies. We will conduct pilot activities in Italy, Greece, Lithuania, and Spain to assess the effectiveness of our initiatives. Additionally, we will focus on boosting the project’s impact and sustainability through comprehensive sharing, promotion, exploitation, and sustainability strategies. These efforts are crucial for ensuring that our project delivers lasting benefits and contributes to the broader goals of inclusion, diversity, and innovation in vocational education and training.
